On Saturday, June 7 at 8 a.m., our community came together for a powerful and uplifting Men’s Health Breakfast—and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. With every seat filled, attendees enjoyed a delicious catered meal courtesy of Southern Kafe on 17, setting the stage for a morning of inspiration, education, and empowerment.
Insightful Speakers, Life-Changing Topics
Our event featured an outstanding lineup of speakers who each brought passion, clarity, and purpose to their topics:
- Rev. Ward opened the morning with a stirring message on spiritual health, reminding us that inner well-being is foundational to every other aspect of life.
- Dr. Griffith delivered practical and motivating advice under the theme “Eat Less, Move More.” He emphasized that the heart feeds itself first and urged men to prioritize their health with daily decisions that matter.
- Dr. Moore shared vital information about early detection and preventative care, with a special focus on reproductive health—a topic too often overlooked.
- Dr. Bennett rounded out the morning by spotlighting the value of the provider-patient relationship. He challenged us to shift our mindset from reactive care to proactive prevention, tackling modifiable risks head-on.
A Call to Action: Move More, Live Better
Across every talk, one theme stood strong: the importance of movement. Whether it’s resistance training, walking more, or simply being consistent, our speakers made it clear—physical activity is essential to long-term health.
This event wasn’t just about learning; it was about creating momentum. We’re proud to have hosted a room full of men committed to bettering themselves, their families, and their futures.
