A Letter From Our CEO During Hospital Week

Dear EHS Team Members,

One year ago, you rose to the challenge of a global pandemic. Today, I am filled with much gratitude and respect. Each of you took on monumental challenges in 2020 and excelled! Your commitment. Your dedication. Your passion and professionalism are unmatched.

We transformed how we work as a team. We delivered beyond expectations. Our innovative management of the COVID crisis is being honored at the state and national levels!

We received the prestigious Doyle Award for developing ground-breaking protocols to manage COVID patients.

We received a statewide Patient Safety Award for Enhancing Access to Care in the ER. Our consistency in patient safety also received the Circle of Excellence Award from the Georgia Hospital Association Partnership for Health and Accountability.

And as the crisis dramatically impacted our Care and Rehabilitation Center, our team passed our CMS inspection with zero deficiencies

Together we elevated the quality of service we provide our patients. We changed how others in our profession view us. We helped to redefine the future of healthcare for Rural Hospitals. We should all be proud!

As we celebrate National Hospital Week, I feel privileged to be your leader. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together going forward. I know we will continue our journey with our Digital Transformation. We will continue to expand and meet the clinical needs of our community. And we will continue to launch a visual transformation, that inspires our community to trust and be confident in knowing we are committed to providing QUALITY CARE. Our future is bright, and this coming year will be one to celebrate—together!

Thank you for being part of our incredible team,

Dr. Fran Witt
