Due to the increase of respiratory illnesses in our community, we would like to implement the following guidelines:
Main Hospital and All Physician Practices
(except Pediatric Center—see below)
- Individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms should not enter any patient care areas. No one with COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms will be permitted in patient rooms. COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms include fever, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, or upset stomach.
- Family and friends over age 18 who are not experiencing cold symptoms are welcome in the patient care areas.
- Family and friends under age 18 should not enter any patient care areas unless special arrangements have been made in advance. To make these arrangements, please talk to your nurse. They are also not permitted to wait for family in any waiting area.
- During this Flu season we ask that you have no more than two family members and friends per patient in the room at any time.
- Family members and friends should wash their hands thoroughly or use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting a patient’s room or patient care area.
- To reduce the spread of influenza, it is recommended that individuals receive a flu vaccine.
Pediatric Center Guidelines
