Your care, dedication, and excellence in your professional position, shape the world our residents experience in the final chapter of their lives. For their families, you are a source of strength—someone to lean on, to trust, to grieve and even pray with—as they navigate one of life’s most difficult journeys: caring for a loved one in long-term or memory care.
Often, your hand is the last one to hold a resident’s. The care you give, the challenges you rise to, and the five-star standard you uphold are acts of extraordinary humanity. I know from experience that skilled nursing is one of the most meaningful, honorable roles a nurse can fulfill.
