2025 Lunch & Learn Event Brings Focus to Women’s Health and Cancer Awareness

Effingham Women’s Health recently hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Lunch & Learn, bringing together community members for meaningful conversation about prevention, early detection, and survivorship. A heartfelt thank you to all who attended.

Providing healthcare education in our community is one of our priorities. For those of you who were not able to make it, please don’t forget to get your mammograms! You have over a 99% chance of a five year survival rate if breast cancer is found while it is still localized. You should start your mammograms at age 40 if you are at average risk. If you have higher risk, please check with your provider.

Lunch was provided by Southern Kafé on 17, rounding out an afternoon of education, encouragement, and community connection.
